After the smoke cleared


PEMCO wanted to encourage its policyholders to fireproof their property during wildfire season. Our approach was to create a short documentary centered on the stories of people who were directly impacted by a recent wildfire in the region. We wanted to hear from the community firsthand: an authentic, emotional account grounded in real-world experience.

Storyboard

Our documentary approach let us extend the work beyond a single video into a full campaign across social and promotional channels. Our close involvement with the community led to momentum and connections that turned the project into something bigger. It led to PR moments like community barbecues and theatrical screenings before movies in theaters around the at-risk region.
