Economic self-determination on Qʼeqchiʼ terms
This project showcases Microsoft's partnership with Choice Humanitarian in support of the indigenous Qʼeqchiʼ Maya community of Chulac, Guatemala, as they build pathways toward economic self-determination. Microsoft and Choice collaborated with local women leaders to pilot Accent — a browser-based platform that bridges the gap between Qʼeqchiʼ and Spanish, expanding local access to Guatemala's formal economy, civic institutions, and broader Spanish-language resources.
